About us

GROUP 2 GALLERY was founded in 1990 by Jeannine LENAERTS, born in Ostend, the city of Ensor, Spilliaert, Permeke, De Clerck and many other fine artists. With her legendary enthousiasm and high spirits she embarked upon an ambitious project of organizing personal and thematic exhibitions of her favourite XXth century artists, mainly - but not exclusively – from Belgium.
30 years later, Jeannine Lenaerts is still running the Gallery together with her 3 sons Vital, Philip and Serge. |
The Gallery

In 2020 Group 2 Gallery celebrated its 30th anniversary. The Gallery is located at 8 rue Blanche in the fashionable uptown avenue Louise area in Brussels, together with Group 2 Vanhevel, a well known total art and interior design company. High class design furniture and genuine tribal art (masks and sculptures) are exhibited in dialogue with a fine selection of modern paintings and sculptures.
Since 1990 Group 2 Gallery has been promoting 20th century paintings, sculptures and works on paper. Through in depth research and expertise based on more than 150 one-man shows, thematic and group exhibitions, often of museum quality, the gallery has gained the trust of collectors and leading figures of the belgian art scene. They share our private passion and appreciate our selective eye for fine artworks. Thanks to the rich cultural resources which Brussels offers as capital of Belgium and of the European Union, the gallery has access to a large network of art lovers and is able to present visitors a selection of exceptionally fine works of art. We will continue to focus on art that puts the aesthetic criterion, the imagination and the creative power first and will remain true to our basic belief that « part of the art of living is living with art ». |
Artists - Expertise

GROUP 2 GALLERY focuses mainly on XXth century Belgian art. Works by a large number of artists from Alechinsky and Van Anderlecht to Wyckaert are available at the gallery. Enquiries about the availability of artworks by specific artists can be made to [email protected] or [email protected]. Prospective sellers and buyers of quality works by these artists are welcome to contact the Gallery for advice or for more information.
