Monumental sculpture "Compass-La Boussole" in downtown Brussels

Pal Horvath, born in Hungary in 1936, moved to Brussels in 1956 where he studied at the "La Cambre" and the Fine Arts academy. In the 1960's Horvath became an active member of the international constructivist movement. His work focuses on archetypal forms such as squares and totems in bright colours. His best known work is the monumental sculpture "Compass (La Boussole)" on the King Albert II boulevard near the Proximus towers and the North train station in downtown Brussels.
